Training and Placement Cell |

The Roorkee College of pharmacy proudly claims to have a unique Training & Placement cell which has all its members having strong industrial and academic background. The team working is the feature of this cell.
We train our students rigorously in both theoretical and practical fields according to the industry norms to make them well-equipped to handle analytical as well as quantitative issues that help them to meet the challenges of the corporate world. Without doubt, they are amongst the finest budding pharmacists in the country.
An active training and placement cell is providing placement assistance to all students graduating from the college. The students are being placed in Marketing and sales, Production, Quality Control & Quality Assurance and Documentation & Regulatory Affairs, research and development sections of pharmaceutical industry, through on campus and off campus interviews. The college has actively taken the initiative to provide placement assistance/ organizing campus interviews (both in-campus and out-campus) for the graduating and post graduating class through the placement cell. To coordinate the placement activities, placement cell has been formed under the supervision of staff and student coordinators to provide placement to all the deserving students.
The major activity of T & P Cell is to guide and help students for placement and training during the vacations. In addition to this, Cell carries out the following activities:
- To promote interaction between the Academics and Industry
- To train the students to write project proposals, prepare them for the interviews and presentations
- To work as an agency mediating between the students and industries
- To monitor the progress of students working with industries
- To select the students for awards to the best project reports
- To identify the job vacancies in various industries for placement and to provide information about them to the students
- To arrange seminars and group discussions for the benefit of students. They are given training for writing their curricular vitae, for giving interviews, group discussions and presentation on their project works
The placement cell attempts to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and gives guidance to all those students who register themselves in the placement cell. Placement registration is necessary for the final B.Pharm and M.Pharm students only. |
